Question : How many folks have a family member that drives your truck more than you ?

Ol' blue is no jewel ,if it were I would not drive it as much , but my 18 year old currently is putting more miles on the old girl than I am ... A few weeks ago I jumped in and the brake pedal went to the floor , I told my son no more driving til we fix it .. so he got an education in replacing a brake line and adjusting brake shoes .. Good thing it had a dual master cylinder ... I think he saw the value in maintainance...

Re: Question : How many folks have a family member that drives your truck more than y

I have only driven my truck three times this year. I was in a rollover accident in my Yota truck this past April and suffered a broken collarbone. My 20 year old son has been driving my '63 since I was layed up and the Yota was totaled. He has been hauling anything and everything for his grandparents, aunt and future mother-in-law. Like awbrown, some minor problems came up. He came home one night and said the battery died and he had to get a jump start. Once he got going he noticed the headlights were really dim. I found the wire from the alternator to the voltage regulator had a bad connection. I took care of that then charged the battery fully. A few weeks later he was heading out again and I asked him when was the last time the oil was checked. I got a blank look as a response. I pulled the dipstick and it was two quarts low. I had him top it off before he went anywhere. He's getting better though, he knows what my truck means to me.
