battery tray

I actually happen to have a used auxillary battery tray..

I tried selling this weekend in an auto swapmeet one guy said no one makes them aftermarket..Who Knows??

But It is solid and not rotted thru.. surface rust is there and would need to be sanded down and painted..
I could get a pic if you wanted..
I was asking $45 for it...But Maybe i'm not feeling well and the price could change
If interested I might change it..

Check out some of the camper trucks. some were equipted with 2 batteries. One had a trickle charge so it wouldn't get over loaded. I guess the idea was to use the second battery as an auxilary 12 volt source. My truck had the selenoid, but the battery it self, was in the camper. So, no extra battery tray is under the hood.

There is an excellent schematic for the dual battery setup in the factory assembly manual.

We have a burb with the dual battery setup if you come up with specific questions.

dual batteries

I have dual batteries in my 1970 blazer- not factory, but I set it up like that. I bought a dual battery box from Franks PickMups. It was sandblasted and powdercoated Looks Great and will probably last forever!

I can reproduce the auxiliary battery tray. I haven't figured a cost but If there was sufficient intrest I could investigate the cost for a quantity run. I spent a very large amount of time carefully measuring, drawing and running mock ups on cnc equipment to get if perfect.

Sorry for the exit yesterday wife wanted the computor. I am very interested in the aux. battery box. Please e-mail me. golden12@swbell.net. I prefer oem if possible, but the cnc sounds interesting. i could also use factory tow hooks. Thanks for the help. You guys are a lot quicker than running the wrecking yards.
