well.....I will if I ever get back to working on the truck. Money has kept me from working on it the last couple of years.

Not mine, but I think this one's real neat; it's a '64 4x4 with a 3-53 Detroit.

Re: Anybody with Diesel trucks out there???
sorry ziplock, your truck is the one I was referring too. I'm glad you posted pictures here. How is the truck doing after changing your mind three to four times on motors? I went through your build thread a few days ago. I like the diesel idea for sure. Thinking about putting on in my 1ton project.

Re: Anybody with Diesel trucks out there???
No worries, I had a feeling you may have been thinking of mine. I am really enjoying the project. Runs and drives great now. You are right though, I did change direction quite a few times. As mentioned in my build thread I have very little experience in this field and the simplicity of these older diesel engines really caught my eye. It is completely mechanical. There is literally 1 wire to make it run and its basically a kill switch.

Did you have to beef up the front springs for the weight of the diesel motor? I found a 4bt on CL but have no idea what they are worth. Do you know what a good running engine should cost? I like your truck by the way.

Thanks for the replies guys! I am looking forward to watching this grow. I've seen a few(Not here as far as I know) with Duramaxes.
