Good points, although building this ratty of a beast I'm not sure I'd be too worried about how many years are on it. first thing I'd do would probably be late gen drivetrain anyways, but very cool patina nonetheless

Re: dreamy patina on eBay

Id be careful about sitting in the seat, you might end up going through the floorboards. Funny enough...even with the rust and patina you can still see factory chalk marks on the firewall.

Re: dreamy patina on eBay

Dreamy patina?? Nah, I gotta disagree. As far as aged paint goes, it's tough to beat the appeal of a naturally weathered unmolested survivor, but this one is just a mess.
It seems a lot of guys now think if it shows abuse or neglect, it's got patina. Wrong. I say if mother nature didn't do it gently, it doesn't qualify.

Re: dreamy patina on eBay

I've been shocked at some of the prices people are asking for some trucks lately. even more shocked to see the prices some people are getting.

Re: dreamy patina on eBay

I talked to a guy bout buying his truck awhile ago. It was a 64-66 and the front clip was rotted and full of rust and had major dents. The front windshield was cracked and had holes, but the bed was perfect which was why I wanted it. No motor, no tranny. And the guy wanted $2,000 for it!!!! He wouldn't go down either. He kept telling me "IT'S a CLASSIC!!!" as if I didn't know a crap about these things! lol! Some people think their rust is worth its weight in gold! AYE! Then I found my parts truck for the price of me towing it outta my friend's place!
