Where does the coolant overflow tank mount at on an '83?(pic)

I have an overflow tank for an '81-'84 and I'm unsure where it mounts in the engine bay. On the passenger side or driver side? Also, how do I run the hoses from the radiator to the tank? If I remember, one hose sends coolant to the overflow tank, then another hose sends coolant back to the radiator, is that right? I have a pic of what the overflow tank looks like.

on mine the overflow is mounted passenger side front maybe 6 inches from rad. Idk if this is the factory location though. Seems to be

mine is an 83 originally 6.2diesel and still has 6.2 rad. I also only have one hose from rad to tank connected to the nipple right at Wrist in your picture

Makes since that there's only one hose. As the engine cools down, coolant is sucked back into the radiator through that same hose. I guess since my bottle has two ports on it, I figured it would have two hoses.

Straight down from radiator fill cap and outward a couple inches. I can take a pic of mine (original to '83) in the morning if you still need. There is a hose bib on the radiator just below the fill cap, a hose should run from it, into the tank through the port that points mostly up and reaches near the bottom of the tank. A pinch-style hose clamp is on mine, around the neck of the bottle where the hose passes through and secures it.

The curved port is overflow. The other connects with a 3/8"(?) hose to the nipple on the rad neck.
Mounts to the passenger side rad cradle down low, basically look down between the rad and the battery and there it sits. Cost me $29.xx to buy one from the dealer back around 1992. =-)
