Are these rare? (if factory)

Just seeing if this truck is very rare or not. Not for sure if its a factory dump bed either..3,500 seems a bit steep for it in my opinion.

Re: Are these rare? (if factory)

Dont know about the dump bed part.

But a running truck with no rot other than a single fender. Just needing break work. 3500 sounds very reasonable.

Don't seem to bad. I am perrty sure the dump bed part isn't oem, but the truck ain't in bad shape.

It has a BBW cab. many people like that. I would not pay $3500 for that truck.

Re: Are these rare? (if factory)

I see you are in Hays, KS. They would not be that uncommon in farm country. Likely not factory option, possibly dealer or local add-on.

AFAICT, all these trucks will have some rust in the fenders, cab corners, kick panels and floorboards. To a more or lessor degree. And still be "almost rust free".

Dump bed was added by a PO, the bbw is the only thing that would be not rare but not as common. 3500 is high.

Thats what I was thinking. I havent talked to him on it, just saw it on there and showed a friend. He says hes pretty dead set on that 3500 mark. Good luck to him

Re: Are these rare? (if factory)

Chevy dealer or owner would have sent the truck out to a truck body shop, like where a big truck cab and chassis goes to get a grain box. I have seen it done here years ago by Jackson Body Inc.
Jackson Body does just about any kind of truck bed you want, they build them right on your truck. Flat bed, grain bed, hoists.
There used to be Jacklin Chevrolet on the other end of town, lots of Chevy truck sold there because Jackson Body worked with the Chevy dealer to outfit trucks.

That's what the Silver Book was all about.

dump box was an add-on. never came from the factory like that in c10/c20. the silver book, was book of manufacturer's that made accessories. Dump box, snow plows, etc
