Need help diagnosing tranny issue

Looks like my transmission is goin out...Its started slipping in second gear really bad and now i discovered today that first gear is slipping now...when i drive off the revs and then then tranny catches itself and goes. I changed the filter in the summer and put fresh fluid. When it first started slipping i topped off the fluid but it still slips...so what can it be...are the clutches burnt out or is it something else?

Was the fluid checked while hot, engine running, trans in park? Proper dipstick and tube and not a Chinese chrome set ?

Re: Need help diagnosing tranny issue

You can put a 350 behind a 5.3 lol.

It sounds like the converter is bad.
