Wider radiator in an AD
Is anyone running a wider radiator in an AD truck, wider than the 22" you can get in a stock core support? I'm building a new core support for mine, and I think I can get a 25" wide radiator in it before the sides of the hood become a problem. Just wondering if anyone else had done similar and if so how did it work out? I'll be running a dual-pass radiator that'll be custom built, so I might as well get as much cooling capacity from it as I can.

Re: Wider radiator in an AD
I've seen a lot of radiators cobbled into AD trucks after subframe swaps and frame swaps but they usually look like they were indeed cobbled into the trucks It's going to be a bit of a challenge to get one fitted so it looks like it belongs there rather than just stuck in the available space.

Re: Wider radiator in an AD
What engine are you running?
I have a mild 350 with a champion 3 row aluminum radiator, it fits perfect in the truck and runs 165° in the summer. |

Re: Wider radiator in an AD
I'm running a 5.3, but don't have the room for an OEM type radiator because I have an s10 frame with the steering box in the way.
Not all frame swaps are cobbled, plus I'm up to the challenge! Here's one I saw in person this summer, done by the same company that originally built the truck. Here you can see the lack of a radiator sticking up: You can see it from the bottom: And here's the truck I saw it in:
