Very cool, and way different than all the custom sandrails and audio competition cars I see come out of Puerto.

Hi, Not is a custom made, the truck manifold work good , but because of my setup need ones can flow more highter, so it are very easy to do we build that from black steel elbows and reducer from a boiler supplier.

i'm using Holley Dominator EFI Because i'm using to control the 4L85e Transmission ,the paddle shifter and drive by wire throtle body, with the holley HP you can not is just to control fuel and timing the engine not the transmission unless you use manual or not computer controlled transmission.

Re: 1970 c10 LSX 427 twin turbo setup

I went with the holley hp. Only reason i have a turbo 400 trans. I was going to build a 4l80e to handle 1000hp plus, but could'nt bring myself to pay that kind of money for the trans and converter... After i get her dialed in and everything else is done on my truck, i'll probably by the gears vendor od...

Was it pretty easy tuning the dominator? What size injectors are you using?

Yes , Very easy is like hp practically is plug and play just plug in the 4L80e configure the software and that's, i'm using 1200cc injectors with 8 660cc under the manifold but i'm not using them yet, i'm using a gear vendor behind 4L85e and it work great! is like 8 speed transmission and got very nice MPG on high way, consider to use an 3 disk lockup converter if you going turbo, i got an John Winter 10" 3400 stall Converter and like an stock one with lock up acitve.

Cheers

I'm not used to seeing the GV units behind the already-overdrive trannies, do you really get much use out of some of those doubled gears? (without being able to ECM/TCM control the gv unit)

In my case it works very nice on highway and the overdrive + Gv Overdrive + LU cause to drop around 1000 rpm on normal or cruise driving not race, when i switch to manual mode i will able to control the gear vendor through from mastershift paddler shifter control system.

Damn, after looking at your build (and watching like 2 hours of Travel Channel), makes me want to go to Puerto Rico lol.

Have you used the Mastershift unit before? I read about it and another similar system, but I've never seen it used, since most of the guys with 6spd auto's will run the GM TuTd shifters. Does it allow for "full" control, or just the GV? (getting tap-shift for all 8 speeds would be epic)

i Have an Transgo HD2 modified valve bodies so when it put in D4 and switch to auto mode the tranny shift like factories does 4 + manual activation GV Overdrive , But when i ****ch to manual mode i have totally control over the tranny and GEAR VENDOR so there's when the master shift come on, the mastershift you can program it to gear splitting with the GV you will have 8 forward shift from your paddle shifter.
i have an another Modification in this tranny to handle the power from LSX 427 turbo.

1-Hardened Input Shaft
1-Hardened Hub.
1-TCI 2.97 First Gear Set
1-Intermediate Hardened Shaft
1-Alumum Direct clutch Assy.
1-Pump modification
1-34 elements Sprags
1-John Winter 3400 Stall 3 Clutch Lock Up Converter
1-red Alto Frictions
1-kolene friction plates
with this mods the tranny hold over 1400++ with out any issues

Looks like you kept the coil packs on the valve covers... Did you just custom make some plug wires andgo around the manifolds?
