Re: 5.3 exhaust manifold in 47-54 ?

Corvette Stainless steel sheet metal manifolds. first choice

A Cadillac CTS-V 6.2 L left and a 07 Trailblazer right last choice

Don't bother with GTO Camaro or a trailblazer SS left side.

Tru rams from Speedway look like they would work but they are pricey

Re: 5.3 exhaust manifold in 47-54 ?

I've got Hooker LS block hugger shorties, fit nice. They dump center, have to make a tight radius to the rear other than that no issues.

I've got a 2003 Suburban manifold on the passenger side and a 2002 Camaro manifold on the driver's side, but I have an s10 frame too.

Re: 5.3 exhaust manifold in 47-54 ?

I have 3 sets of corvette manifolds both c5 and c6 neither will fit without touching, maybe i should raise the engine up a little more but in not sure what the maximum height can be. Also have mustang ii suspension so the steering shaft is a big problem to solve.

Thanks

Can you take some pictures so I can see the difference.
I sure like the pic that Dave sent with his Corvette manifolds with the center collector

The center collector corvette that are very short didn't fit. I would have had to notch the frame. The corvette that are long collector looked good but my engine mounts were is a non stock position so they didn't work for me. in picture B the center one looked like it would work the bottom one was a CTS-V and that dumped into the middle of the rail. it was fine on the other side.

C6 corvette didn't fit either they dump to far into the rail. LS1 LS6 5.7L 97-00 looked good but to pricey to buy to find out

Re: 5.3 exhaust manifold in 47-54 ?

So none of those fit? You have a pile like I do. I have seen the first one on a AD truck with a 5.3 so that's why I said they should. How far in the frame does the engine sit?.

The picture below is a CTS-V on the left and a SS Trailblazer on the right. The problem with this setup is the CTS has a huge 3" opening and a bolt pattern that 4-5/8 center to center on the studs and the TBSS Manifold is 2.5 so I have some fabbing to do on it.

How high is your balancer above your original crossmember? My engine may be to low.
