New to the forum from Western Canada
Thought I'd pop and and say hello. Doing a frame off on a 55 second series right now and just tore into it this past weekend. Truck's going onto an aftermarket frame with coil overs and will have a 4 linked 9" narrowed to 56" with 315's out back. It'll get new running gear at the same time and the cab will be flipped over to clean up the patch work done by a previous owner. Once the bulk of it is back together, I'll be adding rain gear, new column, Dakota gauges, Vintage air, and a new wiring harness from front to back. Going with a ZZ5 and a GM performance 4L65E as my daily driver.
I also have a 55 post that I did a frame off resto with in the past couple years. See it at www.fiftyfivechev.com |

Re: New to the forum from Western Canada
Thanks for the welcoming. I'll be hanging around lots as I try to pick up a few pointers on some things for this truck build. Ordered all my parts from Tuckers the other day and have a few skids of goodies coming now. New doors, fenders, rear mount tank, side glass, steering and a host of electronic gadgets to be installed.
The truck won't be done as a show truck, but it'll hold it's own as a real solid #1 driver and will be used 12 months a year and my regular driver. Pretty stoked to get onto this build and start going hard on it next week. |
