72 blazer cl find
Im stationed in alaska and found a 72 4x4 cst Blazer close to my dad in the midwest he has a 72 swb show truck and i want a blazer to match. It has a 5.7 vortec in it very little rust mostly just the rockers. has a good top on it good floor good bed. has the original seats just need redone the frame has been checked out sanded and painted it needs drive shafts and linkage for the shifter. What would a blazer in this shape be worth?

Re: 72 blazer cl find
my .02 cents -----
Well it doesn't show pics of the floor from the top or bottom. A little rust on the the rockers could mean inner and outer rocker replacement as well as rocker boxes. I paid think I paid about $3500 for a running driving truck with stock running gear and minimal rust. (but I found more later) I thought a 98 Chevy had the output from the xfer case on the left (wrong) side for the stock front axle.(unless its bolted to the stock 72 trans/and transfer) Better check on the drive train swap and see if its complete. I would start at 1800 and go to maybe 2500 if it ran and drove. (parking lot drive, not highway) If you cant hear it run, back to 1800.... Rust repair can be expensive if you cant do it yourself... and I wouldn't buy it sight un seen. |

Re: 72 blazer cl find
It wouldn't hurt to ask the guy to send you more/better pics of the rockers, doors, torsion boxes, windshield frame, etc as well as shots showing the new lines and rear end. If it runs it's a bonus, it it doesn't the price drops.
The truck is only worth what you're willing to pay. |

Re: 72 blazer cl find
I have pics of the floor the bed and the rockers the rockers arent as bad as most ive seen not sure about the transfer case being on the wrong side would have to check on that. currently does run but not drivable due to no drive shafts.

Re: 72 blazer cl find
It is the 3rd time he had listed it in the last year and he hasn't changed the price. I think he is a little proud of it myself.
