Does anyone sell at bulb kit for 55-59 oem gage cluster. My turn signal blinker is burned out. I figure I should change them all at the same time.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
best deal I found was a 10 pack on ebay for about $10 from a guy in US. I will post his id when I get to my computer. locally they wanted 2.50 each. do not buy from the hong kong guys, I paid for some led lamps and never got them.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
I assume they are all the same color with the exterior color plastic changing the color? Can anyone confirm this?
Orrie: Any luck finding that link? |

Re: gage cluster bulbs
Here is the company on ebay and a link to current auction.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_2177wt_1838 Schrum, the lamps are all clear, the color comes from the lense in the dash panel.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
This won't help on the blinker, but check out these LED's in a gauge.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
thanks guys... I just ordered them. Do you have to remove the cluster to change them or can them be accessed from behind?

Re: gage cluster bulbs
I don't remember if I ever had my head up under the dash of my 57 Panel but I think most of them can be reached from the back.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
Just for info: There's two different bulbs in the cluster. The gauges use 57's for illumination and the turn signal indicators, high beam indicator, and ignition switch light takes 53's.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
Not to hijack the thread, but anyone have a source for the sockets? I'm missing a couple.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
57 and 53 have the same socket, just different wattage. 57's work of illumination because they can be dimmed. I used them for the others too figuring they are not on long enough to cause a problem. Attached is the back of my cluster, note the new black socket on the right, I got it off the rack at O'riellys, GM used those for decades. I used a trailer connector so I could prewire everything, getting to the lamps after is not impossible but requires small hands, and on mine the AC duct runs up in that area too. The illumination lamps are not in, I reused the original harness from the light switch. Ammeter wirers directly, oil is a mechanical fitting.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
That is a nice setup Orrie and solves the pull it out to work on it and have to deal with the wires problem.

Re: gage cluster bulbs
Orrie....so the empty sockets light up the cluster and the one you changed is a blinker?
