Talking My bagged 1978 2wd Blazer build - "La Fawnduh"

Hey guys, I figured it was time to start a build thread. It's a 2wd 1978 Blazer with very low original miles. The build started in November and its coming along nicely. I plan to wrap it up in the next couple of months and here it goes...
The suspension work is being by Chassis Fab in Pearland Texas.

Here it was on the day I got her.

And here is my goal for it...

What ever happened to those blue buckets that were in her? Remind me of the interior from a 79 Jimmy, first truck I was ever in and also helped work on, might be the same style if they're factory

I remember watching that one on CL. It looked like a nice start.

Sold em, I just wanted newer interior just to customize it it a bit, but not stray too far from a factory look. Im also having some billet fobs installed on the seatbacks.

Well, she's moving on her own power now! Everythings all done from the fab shop on suspension.

Had to drag a few times to break it in!

Home sweet home!

Also started to lay down the multiple layers of sound deadener...

I was wondering on your wheel tubs did they weld them in place and did you use the little splash apron that goes between the wheel tub and the quarter panel or just leave it open,I trying to figure how to go about doing mine thanks

They're welded in place. And no splash apron...

Re: My 1978 2wd Blazer build - "La Fawnduh"

Here's a couple of shots taken last weekend. I haven't taken alot of pictures lately, I've been re-wiring the truck, changing all the handles and locks, and window motors, more sound deadener, and some maintenance.

This weekend looks like interior time, here's a sneak peak.

I should have some more pictures Monday...
