Re: Bucket Seats...Are these correct?
Key to remember is what you want to do and how expensive they are.
69-75 bucket seat frames are the same. 69-70 uses 69-70 foams and covers. 71-75 seat foams are the same, with 71-72 covers or 73 up IIRC the adjusters are 69-72 drivers then 73 up pass brackets, pickup are 69-72 then 73 up pass blazer brackets are 69-72 then 73 up

Re: Bucket Seats...Are these correct?
I'd have to get you a pic or two Tim, but I found a 67 swb stepper with buddy buckets, i forget exaxtly what the spid says, but it is a cst. owner says they are original buckets....but they look just like these above. So frames and console could be right? Just wrong seats I guess?
Dont mean to jack your thread...found the same exact seats though

Re: Bucket Seats...Are these correct?
Tommy, if the buddy buckets look just like those above they are not original. A lot can happen in 46 years. Buddy buckets are on one frame that holds both seats and the console. They are entirely different from the 73+ seats shown above.

Re: Bucket Seats...Are these correct?
So these are not even 71 to 75 seats either correct? Because the top foam on these is not like the 71-72. The 71/72 have a a listing channel all the way around, and are upholstered completely different. I do upholstery and its obvious there not the same in that way. Thought there might have been some seats available in 67-72 somewhere i did not know about. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Bucket Seats...Are these correct?
Not sure where this is going but 67-68 buddy buckets are completely different as 71swb4x4 said.
Now 67 CST trucks came standard with the buddy buckets and they were optional in 68 on CST and all other trim levels. Nothing in that picture above would be correct for a 67 or even usable without modifications and duplicating the 69-72 bucket seat installation. The owner may be seeing buckets on the SPID and seats installed later like the square body seats above and not realize or care they are incorrect.

Quote:
As you noted they do not have the same foam shape as the 71-72 pickup seats. Below is a set of 73 seats clearly showing the 71-72 shape under a revised cover. At this point I'm beginning to think they may be 71-75? G-van seats or even motorhome built takeouts. If they have wood bases then you know they probably came from a motorhome. Sorry about the confusion by mistaking them for 73-75 stock pickup seats.
