turbo downpipe

How are most of you turbo guys running your down pipe? Ive seen a few pictures of people running them outside the frame, has anyone been able to run it inside the frame rail? Any pictures would be greatly appreciated

Re: turbo downpipe

Your routing options will depend on what diameter your DP is.

I've always run a 4" DP and routing it can be challenging.

On my first turbo LS C-10 I went outside the frame, and under the cab with it, dumping under the cab. No inner fenders.

My second setup was with inner fenders, and I was able to tuck it inside the frame rail. I also had an electric cutout that dumped into the wheel well.

My most current setup on the Blazer dumps behind the wheel, with inner fenders. I plan to route it out the back eventually, but haven't got around to that yet.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: turbo downpipe

I've got mine inside the frame with factory inner fenders but this is on a 55-59 truck. I can post pictures later, my down pipe was cake to fab up....two 45's and a 3' straight section. No crazy bends either.

Re: turbo downpipe

Wasted, Photobucket is cok-blocking your photos due to bandwidth use (they do it to mine as well). Too many pictures linked publicly, means too many individual hits per the bandwidth cap. I had to mix my pictures around by hosting them on a few different PB accounts, splitting the target of the web traffic up.

Re: turbo downpipe

Yeah, I know....I fuggin hate photobucket, and have acutally switched to imageshack....but I my browser at work isn't compatible with imageshack, so I hosted them with PB. They'll be back up around Feb 8-9 when my bandwidth resets....

Re: turbo downpipe

The 'shack is no better, and way worse organized.

I've also tried imgur and some others, but most lack either organization or privacy controls.
