1974 short bed 4x4 3/4 ton???????

I have recently acquired a 74 chevy it has 8 lug rims with 35's. I assumed it was a 3/4 ton but the vin says 1/2 ton if I am decoding it right. It is goin in the paint booth for a clean coat of primer. Amy ideas on value? It has a 4 speed as well. It also says 454 from vin but there is no way it has a big block I am goin to get the numbers off the block to see what it is

Re: 1974 short bed 4x4 3/4 ton???????

C=Chevrolet
K=4 Wheel Drive
Y=350-4 V8
1=10 (1/2 Ton)
4=Pick-up
4 = 1974
Z=Fremont
132607= build sequence number

1973-1980 K series (10,20 and 30) never came with BBC engines The biggest motor you could get was a 400 starting in 1976.
In 1981 the BBC was available on a K30 ONLY

It's definitely a swap, there were no shortbed 3/4 ton trucks back then.
That's a modern abomination.....bigger cabs, shorter beds, no longer a truck. It's just a big car with an open trunk.

not really changing axles is just unbolt one bolt on another.

Off road you want a short bed with the bigger axles if its got a dana 60 and 14 bolt.Price just depends where you are and how bad someone wants the truck.
