Gauge connections - which is better?
Does anyone know the difference between these two types of connetors for the gauge cluster? Each of these are from different clusters that I'm using parts from to create one good one. I'm just wondering if one is better than the other. Maybe they're year/model specific?

Doesn't quite answer my question as to the difference between the two types of resistors, but I'm closer than I was... and I assume it's an ohms difference. Found this super HELPFUL image posted by VetteVet: In this thread This thread explains them also: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=5271583 - |

Re: Gauge connections - which is better?
I assume the porcelain ones are better. My factory cluster had the others style and the newer nos gauges I bought had the porcelain. Assuming it was the better of the two but I honestly have no idea

The cluster I'm restoring had the porcelain ones, but some of my parts clusters had the wire wound versions.. I put the porcelains back on. |
