Column Shift Help
As a newbie to these 3 speed on the column transmissions is there any place that sells swivel nuts that hold the linkages in place or are they a rare commodity? My linkage for reverse and 1st is rigged (but works and comes loose every so often and jams into gear as my uncle who owned the truck told me) I want to fix it right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Column Shift Help
Even though it is rigged up like it is I still think you can pull this off. Go to the top of the home page of this site, in the upper left hand corner there is a blue stripe marked home click on it and then click on FAQ section for the 67-72 truck. Once there you will need to roll down through there and it will tell you how to adjust the shifter using a wrench and a drill bit. I have a 70 model with 3oot and I drove the truck to my shop from the school bus shop that I bought it from. It was so far out of adjustment it was terrible. After I adjusted it [it took about five min] it was like another truck. Jim
