65-66 Power brakes

Any of you guys gone with the Power brakes and kept drums and 6 lugs all the way around? If so... Any pointers?

Factory power setup and still drums... No problems here I love them.

I will probably switch the front to 6 lug disk one day, jut cuz I want to drive where ever I want with no problems!

Just make sure you upgrade to a dual master cylinder and split the lines to separate front from back. I used a distribution block(not a proportioning valve) from a '68 Camaro on mine. Some do not use one at all and have good results.
Just makes things a lot safer in case of a leak at either end.

No I do not. The only pics we took were when I still had the single(original) master cylinder with a power booster. We changed that all out a month or so ago.

I have a 1967 C 10 master cylinder, a reman booster/bracket from O'Reillys, (made my own pushrod,) the '68 distribution block and ran all new lines to each front wheel. I removed the "T" on the passenger side that went to the RF and the rear, installed an inverted flare union to the line going to the rear brakes, and kept the line going down the passenger side frame rail, since that is where it is originally. Then extended that line across the front crossmember and up to the rear outlet of the distribution block. Doing it this way was a lot less plumbing. But, I was fortunate that my truck had a lot of new steel lines since the previous owner had rebuilt everything at one time.
I highly recommend if you do not know how old that stuff is, to replace it, it's cheap insurance it'll work right and not fail.

I believe there is a sticky in the FAQ's about spiltting the lines. Also check into CaptainFab's bracket for the booster.

Mine are power drums..........I just added a 1977 booster and a 1967 dual master with slit lines..

The first pics in my for sale thread for my '63-'66 brake booster bracket are of my '66 Suburban with power drum/drum brakes. The simplest way is to use a booster and master cylinder for a '67-'70 pickup.

Here ya go. Power drums and lovin it. One of my fav upgrades. Final adjustment to the ratio made em perfect. They saved our bacon last week in the snowy weather traffic. I highly recommend power brakes
