S10 air shocks.... Will they work?

I have been offered a set of air shocks out of an s10 for my 73-80 frame, my question is will they work ie. bolt in place, the truck is static dropped 4/8 with 5 leafs in pack an I need new shocks as mine are blown an I would love the fact of being able to put more air in the rear when needed for heavy loads/hauling.

The s10 is a 95 that they came out of

Thanks in advance guys!

You would have to measure them. It is way to hard to guess at something like that with lowering involved.
That said, I am not a fan of air-shocks in the first place. The shock mounts were never designed to support the weight of the truck, much less added weight of cargo.

Re: S10 air shocks.... Will they work?

I had him measure the "stroke" of the shock and at it's max it's aprox. 21"-22" and fully compressed is 17"

To me it sounds like it should work, is there any other measurements I shouldn't concerned with?

How long of shocks should I be looking for, I did try the search but didn't find it, I'll keep looking for the specs of drop shocks an try to base it off that

S10s use different upper mounts. They use a crossbar type of setup on the top whereas the 73-87 trucks use a normal eyelet.

And your lengths sound quite long. My lowered 78 rear shocks are a good bit shorter than those numbers.
