Quick question on Headlight switch EZ-wiring
I have a 3 position headlight switch. I am working with an EZ wiring harness.
I know where batt goes I know where my park lights go I know where my instrument panel lights go BUT where does the 'dimmer' wire go? Its a blue wire and obviously somehow plays in with my floor mount dimmer switch. Does that just feed off the 'headlights' wire or what am I missing? And separately if I was to put relays into the mix, I'm assuming headlight power wire still goes to the switch, then each of my leads heading out should go to the relay, then from the relay to my labeled wires in the harness. ? Thanks for any advice! |

Re: Quick question on Headlight switch EZ-wiring
that will be the power for your headlights going to the dimmer
batt to switch then to dimmer then to headlights hi/lo ezwire harness is made for gm columns, while it is the same plug, you'll need to lengthen the wire to reach the floor dimmer download the painless wiring harness instructions, between the 2 instruction books it explains most everything

Re: Quick question on Headlight switch EZ-wiring
Right before you replied I figured it out HA!
I was just lost with the dimmer at first, but now I see that the DIMMER wire is the power to the headlights but first travels through the dimmer switch for hi/low. The floor dimmer is already plug and play so no issues there. Just going to put a relay inline to take the load off the switch. Thanks! |
