Header piece so you don't have to drill your WS frame for soft top

I bought this from someone on another forum and never used it. You would install the snaps to this and use your factory bolt holes to mount this. I want $225 shipped. First I'll take it gets it PayPal gift or +3.5% or Postal Money Order.

Is this a header from the original factory soft top kit that the dealers installed? The one pictured in the 1972 sales brochure shows that the header from that kit was plated like yours, but I would have thought that it would have come with the snaps already pre-fit.

Hand made aluminum from a member who made one for his Blazer on another forum. I liked the idea and asked him to make me one. With shipping I paid $175 for it. Not drilling my windshield frame was worth that to me. Too bad I never used it.

Hand made from a member on another forum. Not all companies use the same snap location so you could install them for whatever your brand top is.

Let me think about your offer. It cost me $7 to ship a radio delete the other day. Due to the size its probably not going to be cheap to ship. I could probably just stick a shipping label directly to it but I wouldn't want it to get damaged, maybe tape it to a piece of strapping? I'll get back to you. You are first in line unless someone offers me full price.

Thanks
Mark

Ok, sounds good., and my zip is 39402, if you want to check on it.
Does it use all 4 of the mounting points or just 2?

You would have to drill the 2 holes for the bolts that go through the visors and either tap them and have the bolts go up or what I would do is use button head bolts down through those drilled holes (that way the button heads would have less chance of damaging the soft top) and put a nut on the bottom.

In the picture you will see a couple of brackets taped to the header. Those would be used for the inner 2 holes and either just hooked over the top of the header or screwed, riveted, welded, or epoxied after you get the holes all lined up. So to answer your question 4 mounting points.

To be clear I am not able to accept $125 shipped. I would basically be giving it away for shipping.

thealien,
Do you have this header for a soft top?
If you do I would like to buy it from you for my Jimmy.
Realize this post is not recent so this is a long shot.
Thanks!
Terry

Sorry sold a while ago. There is someone making fiber glass ones. I will see if I can get you contact information. I believe he is on this forum, or was.

I am waiting for my header piece right now. I will take pictures and give my opinion when I have it in my hands. It was $343 shipped. I "should" have it monday 7/13

I will ask the seller if I can give out his information.

THANKS for posting the pictures. Appreciated.

You wrote that your Blazer is not there to trial fit.
When will take it to your Blazer to do so?

It could be a while. It is in body shop prison. Maybe the end of August? Just being honest. I bought it sight unseen and still haven't fitted it. I would contact the guy I sent you his contact info and see how many he has or if he will continue to make them to make sure he will have any in a month.
