MY 81 has an 85 and it is mechanical a 100 should work fine if it is mechanical just need to check calibration.
Steve I also had this problem last week when I was putting on my white faces and had to hit the junkyard and buy a whole gauge package to fix it. |

The 85 speedos are mechanical. All years (73-87) Some do have a little box that sends electronic pulses to the cruise control so they maybe half electric.

Something to consider: The 73-80 100mph speedo won't match the font face on your truck.
All of them use an mechanical actuation, just the later ones have a VSS box attached to it.

I recently sold an extra one I had earlier this month on Ebay, but I only got $11.50 for it. From all appearances, mine looked better than the one I gave you a heads-up on and it's at $26. Timing is all important when selling on Ebay....

speedometer
Yes, I do know where 2 are right now. But they won't part out the gauges. If you want them, they are $60 each. complete with all gauges. They told me they were tested. One will have the old clock in it. One is in a 74 scottsdale, and the other is in a 76 silverado. If interested in one of them, let me know.

crackajacka
Just let me know which one. I will go back out there monday to take pics for interested parties. These are complete instrument clusters w/ 100 mph speedometers in them. Like I said, only one has the clock in it.
Anyone seriously interested in them, email me monday for the pics. I will only pull them out once payment is received. Shipping I am going to estimate at $10.00. First to pay for theirs, gets their choice of clusters. Tommy
