Need help to identify this transmission....thanks

Need help to identify this transmission. Owner claims it's a 4 speed.
Is it made to fit in a 1965 C10 truck?
Any and all info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Need help to identify this transmission....thanks

It is a 4 spd but it's got the super low 1st gear. Think of it as a 3 speed because you'll normally take off in 2nd. (unless you're hauling out a large boat or pulling a tree stump) It has an official name but I dont know it. I've always heard them called "granny trannys" or compound 4 speeds. It should fit a Chevy truck provided it has a high hump floor and corresponding drive shaft. Perhaps someone else can tell you its' true name, but at least my reply will give you a bump.

I sold mine for a hundred bucks on C.L. It was a good working unit with no leaks.

I have one like it in a 67 C30. First gear is low but not super low like a granny. Post the numbers off of it. $75-$100
