Sorry if this has been asked a gazillion times but I am restoring my 65 swb stepper, and would like to know the color the engine is suppose to be its a 261 and the previous owner evidently couldnt decide on a color, green in some spots, blue in others also orange...:dohh. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Engine paint!

Blue is the original. Chevy 6 Blue is sold by Dupli Color far as I know. And if yers is a 65 I don't think that's a 261...Could we have some pictures of the engine?

Re: Engine paint!

If you have a 230ci inline 6 cylinder, then Chevy blue is correct. The 250 was not in these trucks until 1966. It should also be blue.

Eastwood makes a high temp engine paint in Chevy blue. I am pleased with my results.
