Crossover questions
I recently purhcased an 83 c20 that was converted to 4x4. Has 14bff rear and 10 bolt front, on 6" spring lift. Currently sitting on 40s, but plan to downsize to 35s or 36s. Whoever did the conversion did not do anything with the steering, i.e. no crossover, pretty much a necessity with tires that large. The truck also has a sway bar, with makes it tight quarters near the front axle.
There are some other steering issues I am currently working on, like major wheel play seemingly due to old TREs and a bent tie rod and damaged damper. I need info and suggestions on what crossover draglink setup might work in such a confined space. Not sure yet if I want to do a high steer as well, but probably would be a good idea. Thanks everyone in advance for your help. |

Re: Crossover questions
Went with crossover and high steer from Ballistic fab on mine. Love it! Got the quick ratio 2wd steering box from Brothers and the 2wd pitman arm from WFO. Everything worked out perfect!
