Re: swap questions

You know that's a good ? A buddy of mine was helping me put my Ls motor in and had it on hand. I can ask him Monday what it is from and get back to you if that will help.

Re: swap questions

I fully understand! I couldn't wait to get my S10 on the road. Now I just smile as I drive it, I love my 5.3 and feel like a kid in my truck.

Re: swap questions

I think it does go to the PCV. I looked at it in the daylight and it go's under the coil bracket. That's the way I got the motor so I left it hooked up.

Re: swap questions

The foam padded one was the pcv on mine, if I'm looking at it from the right side. I still have it, but its getting redone, adding a catch can.

Its actually a really nice idea to add an oil catch on all ls motors. Even the best LS motor (and frankly MOST late model tight tolerance engines), will get some oil into the intake...and if you have a 5.7, it definately will. I'll be doing a video on it this season, but its something to think about while your laying everything out.
