turned my 3/4 gmc to a bagged short step muffin
ok so heres the story.
bought the gmc for almost nothing.sold a bunch of random stuff i didnt need and made my money back and a little bit i then got hooked up with a 68 short bed frame that lays very low on bags notched with all compressors tank lines etc, tubular upper and lower control arms the whole shabang for 350$ with the step short bed the gmc cab had rot patches problly everywhere and is fairly rough, the clip is in pretty decent condition. but who cares, its a morphodite truck that isnt costing me anything.making it my little rat rod backyard throw together project its not done yet, mirrors are coming off for some small ones in the upper window frame, and gonna sand the bed to kinda match the cab and doors anyhow heres pics of progress so far.300$ into it all together to this point

All your money will be in wheels and tires (no matter how cheap)...unless you pull some other surprise. I remember when you bought that truck. Nice muffin

Re: turned my 3/4 gmc to a bagged short step muffin
opinions whether to make it white and rusty(match the bed to the rest) or spray it rustoleum satin black?

Re: turned my 3/4 gmc to a bagged short step muffin
Match bed. I was thinking that since I saw the bed wasn't white. Strip it,coat with sanding primer. Since you're in AZ,maybe wet it till some rust starts*,then prime, then light coat of rustoleum. They even have flat white and semi-gloss.
*probably the hardest part
