Re: Power Steering Hose

what year truck?

on my 71 c-10 i swaped the 1 inch fitting in the back of the new pump from a pump of the same year as the my truck and used the stock hose, the fitting cost my 72 cents at the local junk yard and since i can use the stock hose i can get one at any store if it ever goes out

Re: Power Steering Hose

I had replaced my original pump with an Oreillys pump before the swap. The replacement pump had the correct fitting on the pump I just transferred the fitting and lines to the lsx pump. Fit like a glove. Maybe you can check to see if your pump had been replaced and has the fitting already. Keep us posted
Good luck.

Re: Power Steering Hose

Thanks Never had a pump apart. Pushing 300k on a project engine I got from a buddy. Does the high pressure fitting unscrew to remove tank? If so I suppose I could just swap fittings from my pump to new one.

Going to swap in a Chevolet performance 'connect and cruise' package.

I an going to get the Vintage Air Gen IV system and their LS FrontRunner™ Drive System. This put compressor high and avoid frame mods.

Cool Re: Power Steering Hose

The fitting on the backside of pump will unscrew and screw right back inside the new pump. At least thats how I and Hawks did it. It's spring loaded so be carefull when taking it a part. I thought I had lost part of it and looked all over the floor for parts. Finally realized it didn't.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Power Steering Hose

You'll need to do some research, but I don't think the VA frontrunner system comes with a truck style power steering pump, I believe they use an F body type pump, in which case you can't swap out that fitting.
