Smile New Owner Here = Total Noob

Afternoon Folks,

I am the proud owner of a new 1965 GMC 4x4 fleetside. Thought I would drop in and introduce myself. Truck is 8 lug with the V6. I'm a MOPAR guy that just couldn't stop thinking about these GMC trucks and just had to have one. My current truck is a first generation diesel ram and I am happy to step into the GMC/Chevy world too. I have been doing lots of searching on this great forum and I have lots of question to bug everyone with! Just thought I would say hello and when I get home I'm gonna let loose with all my inquiries!

Me too, 4x4's are my favorite, ok or a really low 2wd. Waiting now, does it have to be 2 weeks, that's a long time for us to wait.

Re: New Owner Here = Total Noob

8 lug has me thinking 3/4 ton and being 4x4 would be what us Chevy guys call a K20. Big back window(BBW) or small and what color?

Welcome, I'm just S of Hagerstown. Nice to have another 60-66 in the hood, so to speak.

Be sure to check out the local area forum of the board. The MD guys are fairly active and there are a lot of shows throught the state. Also Carlisle, Pa has a lot going on check them out.

Re: New Owner Here = Total Noob

Welcome, we GMC owners have to stick together, lots more chevy's than GMCs' if you are staying original you might look here for reference material

http://6066gmcclub.com/forum/index.php

This site is exclusively GMC and they lean more toward a stock rebuild but there is some really good info there. Not nearly as active as this Forum though. Again Welcome Kieth
