Brake booster brackets?

The OEM pics I have seen of 69' brake boosters don't show brackets between it and the firewall. The aftermarket boosters show brackets. The brackets take up more room. Do you folks have brackets on yours?

THANKS!
Mark

Re: Brake booster brackets?

I'm using a bracket. Are you sure you're not talking about just the master cylinder mounted to the firewall without a bracket? I think all boosters need the bracket, but with only a MC no bracket.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. For instance, the picture of the booster for my 69' at a chain parts store, the booster doesn't show brackets, but CPP, Brothers, etc. do show the bracket. I sure wasn't looking forward to spending that money. I wish the 88' Suburban I just got the spindles and brakes off of would work. The yard owner told me to bring my tools, so he can't charge me for labor.

THANKS!
Mark
