Tailgate weatherstripping for '72 Suburban???

Hi guys!

I wanted to do a simple "search" but it appears to be disabled....so pardon me if this has been asked/answered before.

I've got a '72 Suburban with the standard tailgate/hatch setup. It rattles like crazy! It looks as if at one time there were small "bumpers" on each side to keep tension on the tailgate latching mechanisms, but they are long gone now. I don't know if replacing the remaining weatherstripping would add enough tension to keep those rattles away.....?

Anyway, all my standard parts places.. (LMC, Chevy Duty, etc) seem to be lacking for Suburban-specific parts...at least the older Subs. Does someone have a source for these specific parts I need, or even a source for early Suburbans in general????

Thanks for the help!

Golden State Parts has upper and lower tailgate bumpers, and liftgate seals. I have not dealt with them, and Wes has a good reputation. Just thought I'd let you know.

If you strike out everywhere else try Steele Rubber Products.

They will be pricier than most but should have them.
