WTB- 45 gallon tank bolts

Looking for 2 of the long bolts that support the 45+ gallon fuel tank.
The truck aux tank bolts are not long enough.

Thanks.

I took some 7/16 rod and did fashion a couple bolts that work but I wanted Something more flush under the rear carpet. The ones I made are to tall and poked a hole in my rear carpet

Re: WTB- 45 gallon tank bolts

I'm glad I looked at this thread. I was going to remove my tank for fuel injection pump upgrade but now I might try and external pump tied to the drain plug.

Are the nuts/rods not repairable?

Re: WTB- 45 gallon tank bolts

I bought the tank on Craigslist. When I picked it up the guy only had 2 of the nuts & bolts. The nuts are the same on the truck aux tanks but the bolts are longer for the suburban tank. From what I've been told nobody makes 7/16x18in carriage bolts.

Was wondering if there would be much demand for them? A good welder could make some.

Are they really that long? I almost cut mine out the other day. McMaster Carr doesn't show carriage bolts that long. But like Rockc said, some all-thread and nuts welded to fender washers might do the trick
