68 C20 Wiring Problem

Hey guys,

I recently bought a 68 c20 custom camper 350. The guy that I bought it from was in the process of wiring in a new Painless Wiring harness (Item # 10206 if you search for it) and didnt finish everything. It looks like for the most part everything he did is good. The only think that I have found (And it is driving me NUTS) is that the ignition must me messed up. It turns over PERFECT, no problems. When I go to turn off the engine though, it will not turn off and I have to pull the switch that runs directly to the Cap and Rotor (Spark plugs). Any ideas as to what he did wrong? Diagrams or color coded wires to look for helps- I dont know much about wiring

Start the truck up and shut off the key, truck still runs, at that point unplug the alternator and see what happens. OR, first....see if there is voltage at the plus side of the coil before you start it

Re: 68 C20 Wiring Problem

Does anyone have a diagram of how the starter is supposed to be wired? Thought I figured this out but the battery is still draining even while off.. If I unplug the alternator there is no drain but as soon as I plug it back in it starts to drain again... Tried flipping the exciter wire and the battery wire and there was no luck...
