72 Bucket Seat Bracket Repair
I have a 72 driver side bucket seat bracket that was broken and repaired. It is on the side you see when you open the door. The support that bolts to the floor in the front of the bracket was broke so they welded an L shaped bar to it. My question is can I take a support (the part on the bottom of the bracket that bolts to the floor) off of a 73 bracket and just us it? Are they the same height and shape?

Re: 72 Bucket Seat Bracket Repair
The 73-up brackets are about 1" taller in the front than the 69-72 brackets.

Re: 72 Bucket Seat Bracket Repair
Does anyone have a spare front drivers side bracket (door side)? I suppose I could cut a 73 and weld it to my damaged one. Just I thought I would ask. You never know what is out there.

Re: 72 Bucket Seat Bracket Repair
I mean just the front part of the bracket that supports the bracket and bolts to the floor.

Re: 72 Bucket Seat Bracket Repair
Could you just fab a patch to weld in from the back? or grind down the patch that is there to smooth it out and use some body filler to cover the seams? Jim
