Exhaust manifolds
My 68' was an inline 6 with a power glide. At some point a 350 with a th350 made it's way between the fenders. It has a hokey exhaust so I bought a complete new one from LMC to be used with the exhaust manifolds. The manifolds on the truck came with what ever engine that is in it now now. Does anyone know what the correct manifolds look like? Gonna call LMC Monday to see what they suggest and if they have the ones I need.
Thank you!

Re: Exhaust manifolds
It's my understanding that all the trucks came with the ramhorns pictured above, the 2wd ones are exactly are shown, but the 4wd ones dump straight down due to crossmember fitment issues.

Re: Exhaust manifolds
What position is the small block in? If they dropped it in the rear position (left the 6 cylinder mounts on the frame) then you can probably do the straight dump manifolds. Get some 2 1/2" Corvette ones from Speedway motors.
I've thought about moving my motor in my '69 short step back to use the straight dump manifolds, and if I wind up doing a TH200 4R I will for sure. This will shorten the rear driveshaft which makes a one piece-er shorter.

Re: Exhaust manifolds
Be aware that some of the cheaper aftermarket rams horn manifolds don't have the same finish quality that the originals had. Best thing is to look for them in the salvage years or post in the WTB forum. Another thing is to buy the more expensive but better quality aftermarket ones.

Re: Exhaust manifolds
I also bought an exhaust kit from LMC. I ended up needing to replace my original rams horn on the passenger side because it was cracked. Decided to replace both, but i made the mistake of buying each from two different vendors. I bought one from LMC and the other from rok auto. Despite what everyone is thinking, the one from lmc fit great with no issues while the one from rok auto was complete junk. It had the holes for the smog tubes, even the description said it didn't. And the casting wasn't machined properly, so I cant seem to stop the exhaust leek on the side of the engine, that this manifold is mounted to.
To help answer you question we need more info on the truck, 2wd or 4wd? The good thing about a 4wd, is the rams horn dump straight down and are not specific to one side of the engine. Pics would help. Dont even bother trying to call lmc for tech support, as there is none.

Re: Exhaust manifolds
Thanks everyone. I'm just going this route as a temporary fix on my daily driver, until I can afford to upgrade my drive train. Crate motor, 700r4, 5 lug etc... I'll contact LMC on Monday.
