700R swap now no Fuel gauge?

What did I do wrong??? I swapped from my th350 to a 700R4 and now all of a sudden my gas gauge reads over full at around 3 o clock. What did I pinch, diconnect break rip tear ground???? What did I do wrong? I had to call it quits for the night because of sun light but still want to see what could have possibly happened and where to look before I just crawl under and start grabbing stuff.

Can you give some info on the swap? I currently have a th350 in my 85 c10 and I would like to have a 700r4 for the over drive and shorter first gear. Maybe make a thread for the swap?

Re: 700R swap now no Fuel gauge?

There are several swaps. And pull your th350 install 700r4 and gp. Mine is running with no tv cable and no lockup hooked up right now. Its a simple swap and can be done in an afternoon. I recommend doing more research into the details and items needed for the swap

For what it's worth...

I have been told the quickest way to ruin a 700r4 is by driving the vehicle with either no TV cable or one that is way out of adjustment.

Did you check the tank grounds & wiring? You swapped trannys so possibly a wire got pinched somewhere between the tank & dash. Common for something to get pinched between the block/bellhousing during a thrash on something older.

All that happened was the connection at the firewall got unplugged somehow. I have to get this deleted now lol
