I need some ID help

This came with the F-Body oil pan kit I got. I couldn't find anywhere it fit. Any ideas?

Re: I need some ID help

The first thing looks like a fuel tank lock ring....I had no such piece in my oil pan.

Then:
Coolant Temp
Cam angle and oil pressure
Evap

Thanks man. Yeah, I was like WTF do I do with this thing? It came out of the same bag as all of the hardware for the windage tray.

I can just plug and delete the EVAP right?

Re: I need some ID help

The second pic at the back of the manifold the one on the left is the oil press sensor(not needed) the right I'm not sure . The thing right behind the manifold is the purge valve for the fuel tank (not needed for a swap)

Re: I need some ID help

The shim looks like a 8.5" axle pinion shim.

I don't know my LS's so I'm going to guess: temp sensor, knock sensor, CMP and finally evap purge solenoid.

Re: I need some ID help

1. No idea.
2. Water temp sensor.
3. Left: Oil pressure. Right: Crank position sensor.
4. Evap, or some other emissions related thing. Most people just leave it unplugged, the valve stays shut that way. You can completely remove it and plug the hole too.

I like that idea! My evap doesn't seem like it will seal well with just the one bolt. It can wiggle around in the hole.

Re: I need some ID help

if it matters now... lol! another option to the evap plate is a rubber oil plug found at oriles. it works just like a rubber freeze plug just smaller. that's what im running!

It insertin the hole, it has a wing nut on top of it. The tighter you turn it the more the plug expands and the tighter it gets in the hole!

Re: I need some ID help

A word of caution on using rubber expansion plugs. If it were to come loose, The stud can fall into the intake....If it made it's way to a piston...Bad things will happen.

I had a customer bring a Duramax in for low power/black smoke, He had installed a rubber expansion plug where the silencer would go on the intake tube, The stud fell into the intake & destroyed the compressor wheel on the turbo.

Re: I need some ID help

For the evap hole I just used a 1/4" npt tap and put a plug In there.

The first pic is for sure a pinion shim for probably an 8.5 rearend. The other pics are coolant temp and cam position and oil pressure switch.
