electric fan thermostat??
I live in a little town with limited auto part resources so if you guy's could point me in the right direction please?
I have electric fan on my motor and it runs a little warm. I would like to find a lower temperature sending unit or switch or what ever this thing is called and it is not available locally. Would someone tell me where to look and what I'm looking for? I was told to find a 160-170 degree one of these?

Those sensors are pretty easy to come by. Summit, jegs, speedway etc.

Re: electric fan thermostat??
You can also try locating it in a hotter part of the cooling system if possible.
I have never seen an OE temp switch that is that low. Most are 190-250F Here are some NAPA numbers that are lower temps than typical; MPE FS120SB -Coolant Fan Switch Temp Rating : On 193-207 Deg. F, Off 175 Deg. F Coolant Fan Switch Thread Size : 1/2" x 14 NPTF MPE FS103SB -Coolant Fan Switch Temp Rating : 200-210 Deg. F Coolant Fan Switch Thread Size : 1/2" x 14 NPTF Yes, all the aftermarket parts places have lower temp ones. Makes you wonder what's wrong that you would need to have the fan come on so low...
