The Rules, how do I...? and where to ask...
This post is about three things... The Rules(of the forum), how do I do_______? and... where do I ask a question about the forum?
First up, are The Rules... So... there are rules here... some folks know 'em, some do not. Most of them are written down, while others have evolved over the years as situations have occurred and changes were made. Those you kinda pick up on as you post along. The Rules are listed in the Announcement posts, which are listed forum wide as sticky messages up top. You should read them all and familiarize yourself with them. There is a place to ask for clarification or to ask about something that may be in the 'gray area', I will get to that below... Next up are the 'how do I do_________?' and where do I go to figure it out? Well, there are two areas for that sort of thing. The first one is the FAQ Site Related forum, which as of this writing is a read-only forum. There are lots of posts/articles and threads in there about how to tweak your settings, how to post photos and more. The second area, is the Site Feedback and Announcements forum. You will find several 'sticky' messages about frequently asked questions on how to do things in that forum. The Site Feedback... is also where you can ask a question or get help if you are having an issue. Either another forum member will chime in with a response or a admin./mod. will get with you, whoever solves the issue first. Finally, where do I ask a question about the forum? Well, it is also in the Site Feedback... area! Did the forum show you an error? Wondering why something on the forum isn't working? Do you have a suggestion or complaint? Find something you really like about the site? Just want to say 'thanks' for the awesome site? Read about any announced outages, server swaps or various other buggy behavior within the forum in the Site Feedback and Announcements area. This is also where you can go to put your thoughts in about the forum, the layout, policies, etc.. This is where you report any error messages you may receive while using the forum. If you do not tell the administrators about it, they cannot look into the issue. This is where you go to get clarification of any rules or policies you may have questions about. ---- Good luck with your projects and go explore your forum! -W Last edited by Woogeroo; 10-03-2014 at 05:38 AM. |
