Mar-K beds
I've read a lot on various forums about the Mar-K beds, just checking to see if anyone has bought a whole bed from them for Advance Design, and what your experience was. I pulled the bed from my 50 this weekend and while it's solid, it looks to me like it will be too much work to straighten. Was hoping I could salvage the bed sides and just replace front and tailgate, but the work I'd have to do on them is for me outweighed by buying a whole new bed.
I like the fact that Mar-K makes their parts here in the US, am trying to minimize the use of Chinese stuff on this build. Everybody out there like Mar-K? |

Re: Mar-K beds
As with most parts, the stuff is stamped here, the steel used most always comes from overseas.

Re: Mar-K beds
I bought a TF bed from them in all the pieces. Good quality, good people and they pack stuff up for shipping like they REALLY want it to get there in one piece. An added bonus is they will do the mods on the bed sides and tail gate for the hidden latches and links that replace the chains for almost nothing if you're buying all their stuff. I did that for the TF(don't know if AD is the same) and everything fit great.

Re: Mar-K beds
I also can only speak of the TF trucks but the tailgate, and bedsides were nearly perfect. Two thumbs up.
The mention about the metal being used I have to question. All the overseas panels and parts I get have the black primer coating. The Mar-k panels have had an electro something or other that offers good corrosion resistance, yet is easy to sand to bare metal and apply epoxy primer.

Re: Mar-K beds
Mar-K is quality without a doubt. I've not purchased bed side from them but everything else I've purchased was nothing less than perfect.
