heater out of wack
I think my heater controls are out of adjustment. this thing keeps cranking out hot air no matter where the controls are at. any ideas? not sure on what position the cables need to be in in relationship to the placement on the controls.

Re: heater out of wack
Heater only, or do you have factory air?

Re: heater out of wack
On the right inner fender, there is a valve in the heater hose with a little vacuum line running to it. When you turn on the AC the vacuum from the control panel closes the flow of hot water.
I would first pull vacuum on the valve. If it holds, you are losing vacuum somewhere between the control panel and the valve. You will have to pull the glove box, and check the vacuum line behind it.

Re: heater out of wack
Don't rule out the mixing door between the evaporator and the heater core. It could be a cable issue or leaves and dead mice preventing it from operating correctly.
