comp cams timing chain to tight?
I bought and full comp cams xtreme energy kit to put into a little 307 freebie engine and every thing went really nice until it came down to the timing chain, I put it on and it was super tight no slack at all and I really don't want it to chew up the cam barring's and the cam. has any one had this problem as well?

I have a feeling if you got it on there by hand he should be fine.

Re: comp cams timing chain to tight?
Were you able to install the bolts with nothing more than hand force? Good timing chain sets are tight. There really shouldn't be any slack in the chain. Slack means that your cam timing will change constantly.
