Just installed my new gas tank...

... and I think I now realize that the seat has to go in first.

Is this correct?

I bought my truck with no tank, and the seat not bolted down, so I have no frame of reference.

The seat goes in after the tank goes in.

I installed mine with the seat out, the shop manual doesn't say to remove the seat but it also doesn't mention the cardboard cover.

Re: Just installed my new gas tank...

Thanks, guys! Appreciate it. I'll figure out how the seat goes in.

Are the two springs (one short, one long) on the driver's side floor just for the jack/hardware? Neither connects to seat?
