Need help!! Door emblem installation
Hey guys hoping someone can help me out..
I bought new emblems for my doors and they came with round metal clips with a hole in the middle, the drivers side had the original inserts in the door so I was able to pop the new one in and it looks really nice.. The passenger side only has holes in the door, I was able to get both of the clips started but just can't seem to get them pushed on tight enough without the emblem rattling. Is there a special tool or trick anyone knows about this. It's a very tight fit so I am using a pair of channel locks and twisting and pushing but it still needs to go just a little bit more, my arms are cut and bruised trying to get this emblem tight..please help before I suffer anymore pain!! Thanks in advance for any responses.. Last edited by Bjaxs; 06-09-2014 at 11:20 PM. |

Re: Need help!! Door emblem installation
I used the smaller trim nuts on mine before.

Re: Need help!! Door emblem installation
Try bending them out a little so they go on easier. That is a tight spot.

Re: Need help!! Door emblem installation
I did bend them and actually broke a spare one that I had, I used a hole punch to open it up and they are almost there that's the problem..I think I only need to get them on maybe 1/4" more to keep it from rattling in the wind..I have searched YouTube and every possible site I could think of and haven't been able to find anything on this subject.
Thanks for the responses..keep the good ideas coming, I appreciate it. |
