suspension help

He guys wanted to see what size rims and tires guys are running with a 3 1/2" front end drop? I just purchased my truck which has 2 1/2 drop spindles and 1" drop springs. I finally got up on jacks to see why tire is bottoming out into inner fender well towards the top rear and the rim is rubbing the lower control arm, with inspection I found about an inch of the lip already cut off the front of the lower control arm but still hitting rim. The tires on the front are 235 65 R17 and the rims appear to be 17x8. I am going to rebuild the front end since I have apart and lower ball joints look bad. I wanted to see suggestions to cure my problems wheel spacers smaller tires or rims or bite it and put on all tubular control arms, I don't want to spend thousands of dollars but willing to do this right. I want this to be safe as this is my wifes ride to cruises and I will have to answer if something fails. LOL
