1972 c10 transmission factory options
Hey guys,
Does anybody know what manual trannys were available in a 1972 model. Was is just one? Thanks. |

Welcome to the board you will find lots of help and great info on this site. I urge you to go to the area at the upper left hand corner of the home page and click on the section marked tech tips for the 67-72 and look through it. Also there is a FAQ section there as well lots of information lots of good project ideas and lots of good cheap upgrades as well.
Now on the trans I think there were 2 the 3 speed that was used for the three on the tree as it is called and the SM465 4 speed or the Granny low and it is called. Jim |

Thanks hugger6933. What's a good rearend gear to get better acceleration? This truck is very slow right now. I have the sm465, and I know it's a farm truck tranny. I just have to ask around before I yank it out. Thanks.
