1948 Chevy 2 ton Duelly
So I have purchased my third pretty 60s chevy truck. This time I'm thinking I'll be a little less into it financially as its basically good to go just some refurbishing here and there. Got this for 1500 over in blewett pass by wenatchee, Wa. Whatcha all think?

that should not be a problem if it has the 4sp behind the imline6. Both are nice.

Re: 1948 Chevy 2 ton Duelly
Big trucks compensated with low transmission and rearend gearing. You will not get there fast, but with what is probably a stock 5.12 rear end it will pull the load. The big trucks were built when 45 was fast on a rural road and spent most of their time in the fields, on dirt roads or as construction or delivery rigs in town. The long haul trucks were usually GMC with the 292 or 302 engines with two speed rear ends, low for getting started, higher ratio for highway. As a kid I drove one a few times, no syncro transmission made double clutching a science.
