front brake hose lock nut?
I'm using the front brakes from an 85 1/2 ton on my 66. Does anyone know here Ican get the sheetmetal nuts that hook the rubber lines to the inside of the frame? Not sure what size they are but they look to be made of sheet metal. I have looked all around and can't find anyone who sells them.

McMaster Carr.com or you can use castle nuts if you have any lying around.

Re: front brake hose lock nut?
I've carried the hose to a good hardware store and bought thin jam nuts that fit them. I don't remember the size though. I had to try them in the store to get the proper one.

Re: front brake hose lock nut?
The bummer about it is I was just at the wrecking yard and saw a thousand of them but thought I would be able to find new ones without a problem. NOPE! The yard is about twenty miles from here so it's not worth it to drive all the way there for them and I don't need anymore parts.
